The Motive Interactive – Review of Advent 2.0

by Yan

This is a sponsored review of Motive Interactive in conjunction with the launch of its Advent 2.0. The review is based fully on my own opinion and is not biased in any way by being paid.

As an affiliate myself, I was very pleased upon using Motive Interactive, a fairly new affiliate network. Its proprietary affiliate software, called Advent 2.0, is a new, innovative, and refreshing approach to affiliate tracking software.

Not only it is easy to use, Advent 2.0 breaks away from the old and dated “industry standard,” Direct Track, affiliate tracking system. Advent 2.0 was built upon feedback from both affiliates and publishers alike, ensuring that the system benefits both parties to the fullest.

Like most affiliate networks, Motive Interactive has a large variety of offers that cover almost every popular niche on the web today. As affiliate terminology varies from network to network, I would like to clarify that, for the purpose of this review, publishers are defined as affiliates who promote offers and are paid commissions, while advertisers are the people who own the campaigns.

Publisher

Motive Interactive publishers are given one of the most user friendly affiliate tracking interface to manage their current campaigns and a comprehensive search tool to look for new niches and areas of expansion. As mentioned earlier, Motive has performance-based offers that fulfill almost every major niche being promoted today. Thus, maximizing the affiliate’s revenue opportunity.

As Motive Interactive is a primarily a CPA affiliate network, most of their offers are compensated as Cost Per Action (CPA). As such, affiliates are paid out a set amount of money when a user completes the desired action. This is not commission based advertising, in which affiliates are paid on a certain percentage of a sale.

Cost Per Action (CPA) offers may be fulfilled by user actions that are easy as the submission of an email address, or may be slightly more “difficult,” such as the purchase of a product through a credit card submission. If an affiliate generates a certain amount of revenue, Motive offers performance lead generation, in which the affiliate will be given bonuses.

Also in order to assist in the increasing of affiliate’s revenue, Motive Interactive offers each publisher a dedicated affiliate manager that is there to answer questions and assist with issues. These affiliate managers are available during normal business hours and can be contacted through AOL Instant Messenger, email, or telephone.

How’s that for superior customer service?

Publisher Referral Program

Motive Interactive offers a truly incredible publisher referral program. While most networks offer around 2% referral commission for a set period of time (usually about a year), Motive offers an unheard of 5.5% commission for life. I have been partaking in affiliate marketing for quite a while, and I have never seen a referral program that even rivals Motive’s.

In addition, Motive does not require you to personally meet high monthly commissions to earn on your referrals. From my understanding, Motive simply requires you to earn some money on a given month in order to receive referral commissions.

Advertisers

Since Motive Interactive is a growing affiliate network, they are relatively lax on the amount of startup investment you must put forth to advertise. Many larger affiliate networks require tens of thousands of dollars in initial investment before they even give you serious consideration. Motive takes a more personal approach by building a relationship with advertisers, and not simply looking to get whatever money they can before you leave.

However, don’t be fooled into thinking that Motive does not handle large volume clients also. By leveraging the power of Motive’s affiliate network, many advertisers find that Motive brings in a substantial amount of traffic and customers to their business.

Although Motive runs primarily Cost Per Action (CPA) offers through their network for both advertisers agencies and publishers, they also allow Cost Per Lead (CPL) and Cost Per Sale (CPS) advertising. By allowing CPA, CPL, and CPS advertising, Motive is showing that they value an advertiser’s business and will work diligently to accommodate the advertisers specific needs.

Through use of affiliate monitoring and fraud prevention techniques, Motive helps to ensure your money does not go to waste. Although most affiliates are honest, a few bad apples sometimes appear to ruin the rest of the batch. As an advertiser, you can be assured that Motive strives to ensure traffic quality, while also trying to maximize your volume and profitability.

In My Humble Opinion

I find that Motive Interactive has a large variety of tools for both publishers and advertisers alike. Although new and relatively small, I predict that Motive will grow quickly into a major player in the affiliate marketing industry. As Motive Interactive online advertising and marketing continues to grow in size, their already innovative and most talked-about tools are sure to grow in quality, scale, and popularity.

Advent 2.0, Motive Interactive’s affiliate tracking software, is already a very refreshing break from the “industry standard.” Its sleek user interface is not only aesthetically pleasing; it also provides the best in functionality for both advertisers and publishers. Publishers are able to easily track the vital stats of their current campaigns, as well as finding new profitable campaigns. In addition, advertisers are able to monitor every facet of their online campaign and make changes as they see fit.

Whether you are a publisher or advertiser, it’s time to jump on board the Motive Interactive bandwagon before it passes you by.

quite a substantial review. i do wonder if cpa will become more prevalent. i use to read about how other companies were looking to that model in the future.

@kouji

As a publisher, I prefer CPM than CPA if you know what I mean…:-) and the latter is already the model for most affiliate network.

I’m flattered really… It’s much tougher to write a review than to come out with normal posting as I’m accountable for both its quality and value to my readers.

Thanks, buddy. Welcome back!

I have just started it in about a month or so, when I had enough traffic and subscribers to justify it.

Does that help relieve your curiosity?

you got me just as I am looking for affiliate products to advertise on the 125 ads on commentluv. I put any old images up there and so far in 3 weeks one of them is at nearly 1000 clicks!

btw..commentluv is up to 2.5.3
it should fix the problem where it stops working if you disable click tracking. sorry about all the updates, it’s as good as gold now!
