I Guess This Is When I Say “Thank You”

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or via Email. Thanks for visiting!

Today is exactly 2 months I have been blogging. A little more than 60 days from its conception to writing my very first post. It hasn’t been really an easy journey during this probational period. It is that much harder when writing has never been my forte.

As such I won’t admit that I have passed with flying colors but one thing is certain, I’ve been and I am still enjoying every moment of my blogging time trying to make this blog what it is today.

To Those People..

So what better way today to make it a little bit sweeter than to extend my sincere thanks to all the wonderful people who have been following this blog since the day it was born, those who left great comments (no thanks to those spammers) and those who has been providing me with lovely advice on and off the blog. I appreciate all the support and once again I’ll like to say “Thank You All” sincerely from the bottom of my heart.

To David from Integreat Media, PB from Piss Biscuit, Ranjani who calls herself “rampantheart” and Colin from Technology For Non Techies. Thank you, guys.

The Beginning..

When I started this blog I have only one thing in mind, that is to document what I have learned from the blogosphere, repackage it into a blog and share it in the blogging community in the hope than someone somewhere somehow will appreciate it.

They say managing a new blog is difficult and I couldn’t agree more. It’s even harder if you are a new blogger managing a new blog. You just lack that credibility in the eyes of many. Credibility is earned and no one will give it to you out of the gate. That’s the hardest part.

In what I have come to learn so far, it takes more than patience to run a blog. It requires focus and real passion in what you do and a little bit of luck as well. There will be times we just lose all that, don’t we? And when it happens, few will pick up the pieces and move on but many don’t.

What this Blog is All About..

This blog is not a blog that teaches you how to make money online. This is a blog you could refer to if you are new to blogging concept. Simply, this is a Blog for Beginners. What I have posted written is what I have personally learned, experimented, applied and experienced first hand as a beginner. Hence, I wouldn’t write something that I know nothing of.

On certain occasions I would ask about certain issues I’m clueless about in the hope that someone in the know might have the right answer. After all, I subscribe to the idea that a blog is all about a community of sharing and learning.

What’s my Goal..

As in all cases, we all do have a goal, don’t we? If there is one goal I’ve set myself early is to have at least 50 subscribers by the end of June 2008. At the time of this writing, I’m still short by another 7 subscribers to make up for that no.

Yes, I’m pretty close to achieving that target. So may I just invite you to subscribe to this blog if you have not done so? or if you think this blog may benefit you.

Parting Words

To make this long and boring story short, if you are planning to start your own blog, let me just give you one piece of advice: don’t jump into the blog wagon not knowing exactly what you want and if I were to add another, excuse me for saying, “never ever let money be your very first priority“.

Have a good weekend ahead. I love you all.

Yan, thanks for the kind words and heartfelt writing. I love your material and learn something new everytime I read it. Congratulations on a great two months and keep working at it! If you ever need anything, I’m here for you, so just say the word.

As for your feed readers… count me in.. your now at 6 to go. However, the link that says subscribe to this feed at the top of your posts… is a dead link. :-( so you may want to look into that!

Have a great night, and keep up the awesome work. We love you too!

So this blog was 2 months old? More than one month than mine. If you not tell it sure I though you site was more than a year. To increase your subscriber, I will subscribe to your rss.

I had heard some blogger said, to start a new blog was easy but to maintain it was challenging enough.

@Halim: Welcome on board and thanks for subscribing to this blog.

You are right. It’s such a challenge to maintain a blog. Patience alone is not enough, you need a lot of commitment and dedication plus the love of blogging. Without the passion, everything else just falls apart.
