Download DayThe day will come when Firefox will enter the Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours.

If only We, as part of a big Firefox community, participate to make it happen. All you need to do is to pledge to download Firefox 3 during Download Day 2008 to help set the record for most software downloaded in 24 hours - it’s that easy.

Once you pledge, you will be informed via your email of the official date for its imminent release which apparently has not been set yet. Probably sometimes in early June. Here’s a quick look at What’s New in Firefox 3.

Let’s make a collective effort to push Firefox to a world record

You are invited to help spread the words and get involved by telling your friends about the brand new Firefox 3, writing a post on your blog or probably just adding a button or banner on your blog.

At the time of this writing, there has been 420,895 pledges so far. The number is expected to increase further. Wherever you are, if you haven’t pledged to do so, join the Firefox Team in its mission to set a Guinness World Record for most software downloaded in 24 hours.

On a side note, even though Firefox keeps failing me on my overloaded Gmail, I still vote it as one of the best browser I could ever lay my hand on. And I have pledged, have you?
