If there is any form of online marketing that you should be doing, it definitely should be article marketing.
It has stood the test of time and is proven to be one of the most effective forms of marketing online. It helps you both to build a personal brand for yourself, as well as one for your company.
What most people don’t understand about article marketing is once you create a unique article and submit it to the article directories, it stays there forever and has the ability to be seen and placed on thousands of other websites. It is one of the most effective forms of viral marketing.
The one thing that you need to know about article marketing is that it is very time consuming. It takes a lot of time to consistency create articles and submit them to the article directories. I would highly recommend that you outsource these tasks of writing and distributing the articles. You want to concentrate most of your time on branding yourself or thinking about new ideas that you would make you more money.
There is a great article submission service that I use to automate the process of submitting articles to the article directories. The service that I use is called Submit Your Article and I highly recommend that you start using it as well because it will save you countless hours from doing these daunting tasks. They submit your articles to over 200 article directories.
I would recommend that you create and submit at least 4 articles per month on a continual basis and link them back to your main website that you are trying to receive more traffic to.
I personally teach people that I mentor how to do this in the most effective way to receive tons of traffic to their websites. I provide detailed instructions to all of the people that I train and work with.

How have you read the same post some where else? I actually just wrote this posts the other day. You might have read something similar to it, but it was not the same exact post
Actually, you should have noticed that post was just spam and deleted it. I get those stupid things all the time.
As to the other one, I’m still not totally sold on articles bringing traffic to one’s site, based on my Google tracking stats. Maybe for links it’s a good thing, but I think that’s pretty much it.
I have seen articles with nothing in the resource box. My guess is they were submitted by automated services. I am not sure a service is a great idea – although I do think outsourcing it to an assistant is.
Just for fun I cut some text out and pasted it in Google. Several sites came up with the exact same text, Scrapper sites a tweet site etc.
Most people who submit articles, just do it for the passion of writing and not for marketing purposes. You are right, most automated article submitter don’t work properly and sometimes leave out the resource box. The one that I use have been working pretty good for me for several years now.
this looks promising! a nicely done article, indeed.
I am still newbie with this kind of article promotions things and this post shed more light.
The point you made about the fact that your articles remain there forever is a very valuable one. It can be a month or a year later that somebody may find your article and click on your resource box (and I have experienced this first hand).
And I completed agree with you that it is very time-consuming and outsourcing is great. I have found that if you don’t have the funds to outsource (especially when you just start out) that there are very good article creators and submitters available at very reasonably prices.
I personally find that the most important thing when using articles to market your website is to make sure that you have a “catchy” headline and that the article is interesting enough for people to read to the bottom and see your resource box (and this is also the most challenging).
You have to keep your readers engaged – and if you are not a good writer, outsourcing is definitely the way to go.
I couldn’t agree more about the importance of using article marketing as a branding tactic. As for automated submissions, this too is wise, but if you are like me you are on a zero budget your options are limited. I would recommend joining http://www.linknami.com, they provide a free article submission tool as well as other great link building options such as article exchanges with other members. Great for backlink building.
Thank you for the post. I have read the hole article with curiosity and i have learned a lot of things about article marketing. May be it will be very helpful for me.
Looks like a good option for bloggers who are looking for more sources of promotion. How much does it cost?
I have had articles submitted to Ezine. DO you think it is enough? :-)
I have been submitting articles on ezinearticles.com, now my account is suspended what should I do for reactivation of my account
Very informative tips provided here. I had been searching on these on Google. Finally found you on twitter.
To answer some of your questions..
@Seth – Submission costs nothing. If you’re ever told you need to pay to submit an article, don’t. Ezine articles and Goarticles are great places to start.
@Walter – Ezine is great, but you definitely don’t want to put all of your eggs into one basket. Personally, I spread out my submissions across 4 or 5 of my favorite high ranking directories.
I’d love to do this but I find writing for the purpose of article marketing so time consuming..
Yeah, article writing and then marketing it properly is long time consuming process but worth the effort. Ezinearticles is a great place for the starters.
Very nice post.
@ Elijah: I do agree. even though using Ezine is a good way to start with promotions. Its always better to use more methods than one. In this case better spread your promotions somewhere with great rankings as well.
I have found that the more articles I write, the easier it is to write new articles
One of the ways you can elevate your brand and broadcast it thousands of audience is to ‘bookmark’ your article at She Told Me and earn money in the process. Pretty cool idea, huh?
I’ve done this for a few of my posts but I mostly avoid it because it takes so much time.
